Our British sheepskins are of the highest quality, reared in the UK and hand-finished in Yorkshire.
Whilst described as 'white', natural sheepskins may vary slightly in colour; some may have more of a golden sheen and others may be a more cream.
Our rare breed sheep skins vary in colour, size and pile depth. Each skin is described in detail.
They are the ultimate in luxury and cosiness and look fab on the floor or draped over a chair or bed.
The size and shape of each rug may vary..
BEAT AND SHAKE – Take your sheepskin outdoors and give it a very good shake to remove dust and other dirt particles. If required ‘beat’ the sheepskin rug with a broom handle or similar implement.
BRUSH – Brush your sheepskin rug with one of our sheepskin brushes (featured in the image above) – you can also buy similar brushes in pet shops sold as ‘dog brushes’ or ‘slicker brushes’. This will remove dust and also make your rug fluffy again if it has gone a bit flat. It is normal for some wool to come off on the brush.
VACUUM – Once shaken and brushed, run a vacuum cleaner over your rug to pick up all other dust and dirt particles.
Hand wash or machine wash on a wool cycle, in water at 40C using pure soap or mild detergent. DO NOT USE BLEACH. Fabric conditioner can be added prior to rinsing well. Squeeze out surplus water or lightly spin and pull into shape. Hang to dry naturally. Flex sheepskin as the leather dries to regain suppleness and shape. Comb wool if required.
